“Building a Strong Family Unit: Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith’s Co-Parenting Arrangement for Daughter Juno”

When it comes to their daughter, Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson are on the same page.

The Fatal Attraction star, 45, responded to his estranged wife’s divorce filing last month in court documents acquired by PEOPLE.

Turner-Smith, 37, first claimed joint physical and legal custody of Juno Rose Diana Jackson, their 3-year-old daughter. In his response, Jackson agreed to the terms, with neither party paying child support.

Turner-Smith filed for divorce from her marriage of five years in early October, citing irreconcilable differences.

In 2018, the former Dawson’s Creek actor and the British Queen & Slim actress-model first met at Usher’s birthday celebration. Jackson and Turner-Smith fuelled rumours of an impending wedding in August 2019 when they were seen picking up a marriage licence in Beverly Hills. They later confirmed their marriage on August 18, 2019.

Though Turner-Smith and Jackson have kept their daughter out of the spotlight, they have both opened out about their child and discussed their parenting experiences.
Turner-Smith told PEOPLE in March 2023, “I feel that being fulfilled is being my best self for my child.”

“And I try to include her in my life, not to let work be something that exists outside of her, but that she can also be a part of.” And so she sees me as a working mother who is happy and wants to mother at the same time.”

“There’s so much guilt and pressure on women and mothers to just act as though you haven’t just gone through this deeply transformational process, this life-changing, earth-shattering, body and perception-shifting transformation,” she says about giving birth and becoming a mother. “The pandemic smacked me in the face and forced me to slow down, and I’m so glad it did.”
