According to reports, Gisele Bündchen and her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, have welcomed a boy into the world.
People reports the 44-year-old supermodel just gave birth to a son. According to the outlet, Bündchen and Valente, both 37, decided to give their child the middle name “River.” The first name is still a secret.
The baby’s middle name, which has a nature theme, seemed to carry on the tradition she established with her oldest children. In 2009 and 2012, Bündchen and her ex-husband Tom Brady welcomed a son, Benjamin Rein, and a daughter, Vivian Lake. Rein is another spelling of rain and the term for a portion of a horse’s saddle, but lake is clearly a body of water. (In addition, Brady’s son Jack, from his previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan, has Bündchen as his stepmother.)
Bündchen is a strong supporter of the environment, thus the suggested middle name is very appropriate and significant.
In September 2022, she told Elle, “They’re dumping toxins into rivers in every big city, and we have to consider what we’re doing, how we are endangering the very ecosystem that gives us life.” “All of us are interconnected.”
Bündchen looked for further opportunities to become engaged after visiting the Xingu River region in her home country of Brazil.
At the time, she continued, “If you are tuning into that frequency, you feel hopeless because most [people] choose to focus on things that are negative.” “I want to show the beauty, offer hope, and convey the possibilities—and to say, ‘Hey, we’re living in heaven, right here.'”
Bündchen and Valente have not made their baby’s arrival or name public.
Bündchen and the jiu-jitsu instructor were expecting their first child together, her third, according to a report by Us Weekly in October 2024. One year after Bündchen and Brady, 47, reached a divorce settlement in October 2022, they began dating in 2023.
