The adult film actor Jesse Jane, who also had appearances on Entourage, has passed away. Her age was forty-three.
According to KFOR, the actor, whose actual name was Cindy Taylor, and her boyfriend, Brett Hasenmueller, were discovered dead in their Moore, Oklahoma, home. After they had not been heard from for days, the Moore Police Department was called to Jane and Hasenmuller’s residence on Wednesday to perform a wellness check, the outlet reported.
According to Lt. Francisco Franco of the Moore Police Department, although a medical examiner will verify the exact cause of death, it is thought that Jane overdosed on drugs, as he told The New York Times. According to Franco, the deaths of Hasenmuller and Jane are still being looked into.
Before landing a commercial with Hooters and signing a deal with Digital Playground studio, the Texas native posed for stores including David’s Bridal and 5-7-9, according to The New York Times.
According to Deadline, she started making cameos in uncredited roles in 2004’s Starsky and Hutch and Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding after making her adult film debut in 2003.
She debuted in season 2 of Entourage in 2005, and she later ventured into reality television with shows like Gene Simmons Family Jewels and Bad Girls Club.
She left the adult industry in 2007 and discussed how it has changed over her career in an interview with GQ from 2018.
“I discovered porn at the ideal moment, when porn stars were important. Porn stars in those days were huge and beautiful. You entered a room and attracted attention,” she remarked to the publication. “Everyone was aware of your identity since they were compelled to purchase your merchandise, DVDs, and other items. Even though porn was so dirty, everyone watched it. Even with product deals and appearances, no one makes as much money as they did in the past.”
In a letter to PEOPLE, porn publicist Brian Gross recalled Jane as “a vivacious person who had an absolute and ultimate love for life”.
“She made everyone in the adult industry smile, laugh, or both when they spent time with her, whether it was in a social or onset situation. The moment she walked into a room, she would light it up. No matter where she was, her laugh would resound,” he said.
“She was a performer during an era where adult films were seen all over the world, and the promotions were massive,” Gross stated. She made certain to give it her all in both performance and promotion. For the reasons listed above, I shall miss her a great deal personally. Her smile said it all.”
