In New York City, Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford are hanging out!
The stylish mother-daughter pair attended a Planet Omega Fashion Panel and Cocktail Party on Tuesday in New York City. For the occasion, both women dressed all black.
Gerber, 22, appeared with her supermodel mother, 57, for pictures on the red carpet.
The actress from American Horror Stories wore a high-waisted pleated miniskirt and a long-sleeved black turtleneck with her hair tied up in an updo. Gerber finished off her autumnal ensemble with closed-toe shoes and thin stockings.
Crawford, standing next to her daughter, gave the Bottoms actress a bear hug with one arm while holding a black purse in the other. For the event, she donned boots and a flowing mid-length dress with a V-cut neckline.
Crawford made light of the disparity in height between the two before the panel started.
With a laugh from the audience, the Super Models performer pointed to Gerber and added, “Just in case you’re wondering, she has longer legs than me.”
Crawford also mentioned the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer in jewelry-related Instagram Stories posts. Her association with Omega began in 1995. They commemorated 20 years of collaboration in 2015.
“The brand’s longest-serving ambassador is Cindy Crawford. She was first picked for her sense of style and flair in fashion, but it quickly became apparent that she also adhered to OMEGA’s core values, the company stated in a statement at the time.
Crawford went on to say that Omega had a reputation for stocking “a lot of stereotypically ‘guy stuff'” before she was hired.
Upon becoming an ambassador and providing input on the Constellation watch design, she came to view Omega as a stylish watchmaker.
In 2017, Gerber signed a contract with the upscale business. She was involved in the 1949 introduction of the new Tresor collection promotion.
On the website of Omega, Gerber was shown wearing “a piece of art in its own right: OMEGA’s 24.4 mm De Ville Prestige Dewdrop” at the 2021 Met Gala.
She had never attended the yearly fundraiser before. She had the Omega watch on her left wrist with a black band, and she donned a strapless black floor-length ball gown.
Crawford talked exclusively to PEOPLE earlier this year about her youngest child’s reaction to stardom.
The pleased mother remarked, “I think that she kind of sees how my husband [Rande Gerber] and I have dealt with it throughout the years,” during the Best Buddies charity event in May. “Which is not like, we don’t ever try to, ‘Oh, we can’t go there because we might get photographed.'”
Crawford began, “I’m learning along with her about that stuff, but I feel like she seems to have a very good head on her shoulders and is figuring out how she wants to create that private work-public balance.” She then mentioned that the modeling profession has evolved since her days.
