Olivia Rodrigo Says It’s Such An Honor to Get 6 Grammy Nominations

Olivia Rodrigo is happy about her accomplishment!

At the Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, the 20-year-old singer-songwriter spoke exclusively to PEOPLE and expressed how honored he is to get six nominations for the forthcoming Grammy Awards.

Indeed. So crazy. Rodrigo tells PEOPLE, “It’s just such an honor and such a pleasure to be recognized by the music community in such an incredible way.” “I am so appreciative.”

Seeing so many of her pals nominated, according to the celebrity, is “half the fun.” “To be honest, there are moments when that’s more thrilling than being nominated,” she continues. You simply adore everyone you care about so much.

“We were ecstatic when Noah Kahan was nominated for best new artist,” Rodrigo tells PEOPLE. The news that he had been nominated thrilled me. He was ecstatic to learn that I was a nominee. Thus, it’s simply a beautiful act of love being shared.

The songs “Vampire” by Rodrigo, “album of the year,” “song of the year,” “best pop solo performance” for “Vampire,” “best pop vocal album” for Guts, and “best rock song” for “Ballad Of A Homeschooled Girl” are among Rodrigo’s nominees for Grammy Awards.

The Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles will host the 66th Grammy Awards on February 4, 2024.

The song “Can’t Catch Me Now” by the three-time Grammy winner, which was made available earlier this month, is also included on the soundtrack of Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

Rodrigo tells PEOPLE, “I adore everything about the Hunger Games.” “I adore the movies, the novels, and the soundtracks in particular. I’m thrilled to be here and feel incredibly honored to have been invited to write this song.

Rodrigo wore an elegant black gown with floral details that shimmered at the event on Monday night. She went to the celebration with singer-songwriter Conan Gray, a friend, and the two of them smiled as they posed for pictures on the red carpet.
