Season 21 of Project Runway is approaching.
It was revealed in October 2024 that the venerable fashion design competition would make a comeback on television after months of fans wondering if season 20 would be its final one. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Project Runway will air on the Disney-owned Freeform network in 2025 rather than Bravo, where it has been since 2017.
Freeform revealed that it has reached an agreement with Spyglass Media Group to revive the show for a further ten episodes. The show will first air on the network before being streamed on Disney+ and Hulu.
Simran Sethi, president of scripted programming for Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment, issued a statement at the time stating, “Project Runway is an iconic television juggernaut that perfectly complements the pop-culture spirit at Freeform.”
“Project Runway has captivated viewers and developed a devoted following for 20 seasons,” stated Gary Barber, chairman and CEO of Spyglass. We are thrilled to expand the show’s audience across the Freeform, Hulu, and Disney+ ecosystems, since the series has established itself as a valued and enduring brand on a global scale.
Season 21 will be produced by Jane Lipsitz and Dan Cutforth of Alfred Street Industries.
