Renée Zellweger Stuns at Bridget Jones 4 Premiere

Still drawing attention on the red carpet is Renée Zellweger!

The 55-year-old actress wore elegant clothing on Wednesday, February 12, as she went to the Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy premiere in New York City. Leo Woodall and Chiwetel Ejiofor, Zellweger’s co-stars, were also present at the Jazz at Lincoln Center event.

She was dressed in an ankle-length, structured satin dress with a belted waist and a bardot top.

Zellweger closed-toe shoes went well with her 1950s-glam outfit. She wore flawlessly minimum makeup and had her hair pinned.

Zellweger’s stunning appearance on the Bridget Jones press tour is enhanced by the most recent premiere.

The Judy star attended the London premiere on January 29 wearing a very glam pink strapless gown from the 2000 Balmain collection. The body-hugging dress had a short train and a straight-across neckline. The Oscar winner accessorized the ensemble with glittering shoes and a statement ring. She chose natural makeup and a flowing ponytail with face-framing accessories.

Zellweger and costar Hugh Grant walked the red carpet together at the film’s Paris premiere two days earlier.

She was dressed in an alluring one-shoulder lace dress by Anthony Vaccarello, which had a thigh-high slit and a scalloped neckline. In a startlingly similar outfit to the one he wore to the original film’s premiere more than twenty years ago, Grant wore a black suit and button-up shirt.

In the Bridget Jones series, Mad About the Boy is the fourth entry. The Helen Fielding novels served as the inspiration for the romantic comedy films.

“Bridget goes back to work and even tries out the dating apps, where she’s soon pursued by a dreamy and enthusiastic younger man,” according to a summary. “Now juggling work, home and romance, Bridget grapples with the judgment of the perfect mums at school, worries about Billy as he struggles with the absence of his father, and engages in a series of awkward interactions with her son’s rational-to-a-fault science teacher.”

Colin Firth and Sally Phillips are among the several cast members from 2001 who make a comeback in the most recent movie. Woodall and Ejiofor are recent recruits to the venerable franchise.

In an interview with British Vogue on January 15, Zellweger talked candidly about playing the title role again. The ability to return a character at various points in her life is such an uncommon experience, and it has been “pretty special” to see so many people identify with these characters.

The actress also talked about her notorious wardrobe malfunction at the 2005 Academy Awards during the conversation. The Carolina Herrera gown that was worn to the occasion did not survive intact.

“It’s an amazing outfit, to start. Regarding the red strapless outfit, she remarked, “I adore that dress.” “To maintain its shape, it is filled and weighted at the bottom.”

“A gentleman stepped on the train as we were leaving that night,” she recalled, “and I continued walking in the opposite direction and it tore it right off my dress.”

On Thursday, February 13, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy will be available exclusively on Peacock.
