At last, all of the queens have arrived. The second half of the cast arrived this week as they eagerly awaited part one of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16’s split premiere last week. When the seven new queens entered the Werk Room, they were eager to impress Mama Ru with their charm, individuality, bravery, and skill. This week’s debut was different from the previous week’s in that it featured a talent show, another runway with a reveal theme, and a brief photo shoot—this time at the SheMV instead of Ru’s front porch.
Ru unveiled the Rate-A-Queen twist following the talent show, forcing the performers of Geneva Karr, Hershii LiqCour-Jete, Megami, Mhi’ya Iman Le’Paige, Nymphia Wind, Plane Jane, and Plasma to rate the performances of the others.
Here’s what happened in the second episode of Season 16:
Who was eliminated in the RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16 Episode 2?
The response is none for the second week in a row. Since Season 12, every season of Drag Race has started with a split premiere, meaning that no one actually goes home for a few episodes. This week, all seven of the new queens were safe; however, next week, when all 14 queens are gathered, we will probably find our first casualty.
Who won Episode 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16?
Plane Jane
Plane Jane amazed the judges with her campy ignorance with her “Burger Finger” performance and Russian princess-to-Boston hooker reveal. In order to give herself an advantage during the Rate-A-Queen game, she also deliberately cast votes. She easily defeated Geneva Karr in the lip sync and won immunity for a few weeks.
What is the Rate-A-Queen twist?
For the first two episodes of Season 16, RuPaul isn’t selecting which queens are the best and worst of the week, which is a surprising development. Instead, the scores of the other six queens are determined by ranking them from best to worst. The queens selected Plane Jane and Geneva Karr as the two best in Episode 2, leading them into a lip sync to win, even though we never found out who the bottoms were. Episode 3 will see the resumption of conventional judging.
Which queens are left on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16?
After two episodes, all 14 candidates are still in the running for the Season 16 title, with no eliminations having occurred thus far. They are as follows:
