Following her divorce from estranged spouse Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner took a short break from social media but has since returned.
The Game of Thrones actress posted a video on Instagram on Saturday, Nov. 11, advocating for a worthy cause and conveying a message that is significant.
In the video, the 27-year-old talked about global warming, a topic she is passionate about, and encouraged viewers to donate to a group that works to raise awareness of the “climate crisis.”
“Hey, everybody! Turner began the promotional clip by saying, “I have been asked to spread the word about positive power.” “I truly wanted to raise awareness for global warming after conducting the research and observing its very evident effects.”
“We need to switch over; move over, to renewable energy and let nature provide us with power—and not just power, positive power,” the Emmy Award nominee continued.
“We need to communicate to our leaders that this is the future we envision for ourselves and our loved ones, our children and grandchildren,” she went on. Turner then asked “decision-makers in government and industry” to back the idea, urging the audience to provide support to her cause. “They are more likely to listen to us if we ask them more often.”

The upload is the first time anything from her account has surfaced since a joint statement announcing her and Jonas’s decision to part ways after four years of marriage was shared on September 6.
Paradoxically, the picture that came right before it, from August 14, showed the ex-couple strolling hand in hand while she posted a compilation of video from a Jonas Brothers show.
