The show won’t be stopped by Taylor Swift’s broken shoe!
Fan videos from the 33-year-old singer of “Cruel Summer”‘s Monday event in Rio de Janeiro demonstrate that she understands how to keep the concerts going, even if she has to perform with just one working heel. The singer is presently on her Eras Tour in South America.
She paused the performance to receive applause, pausing briefly to fix her shoes. A user on X captioned a video, saying, “@TaylorSwift13 taking out the sole of her shoe #RioTSTheErasTour.”
As her fans applauded, the “Style” hitmaker exclaimed, “Making me feel amazing right now!”
An improved view of the situation was provided by a second post made by a different fan page. Swift was wearing a bedazzled bodysuit, and it was obvious that the heel was missing from one of her knee-high Louboutin boots.
The tweet with video footage said, “She stands on tiptoe, with a broken heel, like a real-life Barbie, #RioTSTheErasTour,” alluding to Margot Robbie’s well-known moment from this summer’s Barbie movie.
According to the Louboutin website, Swift’s striking luxury shoes are available in “a range of both custom and existing silhouettes in a variety of shapes and [heel] heights, featuring one by one hand-applied intricate crystal embroideries and colorways.”
Her tailored clothing is featured in the film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, which, according to distributor AMC, has made over $200 million at the worldwide box office since its October 13 release.
The singer of “Shake It Off” was supposed to perform on Saturday, but the intense heat forced the cancellation of the event.
With 39 awards each, Swift and Drake shared the record for most-awarded artists at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday.
Despite being unable to attend the program to personally accept her ten trophies, she recorded an acceptance speech while on tour.
Swift remarked, “Well, this is unreal,” during the recorded address. “I’m speaking directly to the fans about the fact that you guys have given me ten Billboard Awards. Without you, none of this would occur.”
“I’m very honored that you made this year’s tour, The Eras Tour, so spectacular. The Billboards base everything on what you listen to and what you’re enthusiastic about. You watched the film and showed interest in my re-recordings. She went on, “I just, like, I love you so much.”
Swift has the most nominations of any artist going into the program with 20.
