It’s time for Dak Prescott to take on fatherhood!
The 30-year-old quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys and his girlfriend Sarah Jane Ramos announced on Saturday that they are expecting a girl for their first child together.
A tiny portion of heaven sent to Earth 🤍. Our immense favor. Tagging the NFL player and posting a number of monochrome prenatal pictures of herself, Ramos said on Instagram, “I can’t wait to raise a strong, confident, beautiful baby girl with you @_4dak.”
Resharing a picture from Ramos on his Instagram Story, Prescott expressed his gratitude for being “beyond blessed” with his first child on the way.
He said, “Girl dad incoming.”
In addition, he sweetly commented on his girlfriend’s post, who is an influencer. “How thankful I am to do this with you can’t be explained!” Ramos said.
“God makes no mistakes and nothing is coincidental and for that, I thank Him daily!” he said. “You can always rely on me, and I adore you ♥️🙏🏽. Mama, let’s do this 😍.”
Ramos revealed a photo of her and Prescott, the 2022 Walter Payton Man of the Year, enjoying her 30th birthday earlier this month. Amid an Instagram carousel, she posted a picture of the two of them having dinner. She also sent a photo of herself cheering on the Dallas Cowboys in a blue and white jacket while watching the action from the stands at AT&T Stadium.
“We are incredibly grateful as we start a new decade. She seemed to be referring to her and Prescott’s upcoming motherhood when she stated in the caption, “I really have everything I could ask for and have a feeling this next chapter will be the best one yet.”
The professional player, who the Cowboys selected in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, recently told PEOPLE that he gets his Zen on the football field.
“For me, football has always been a source of peace,” he said. “It’s always been my safe haven, I guess you could say.”
“It’s a blessing to do what I love at the highest level, so I don’t take anything for granted, and I’m just ready to get out there and count some more wins,” he said.
The native of Louisiana added that he hopes his admirers look up to him as a role model and are motivated to pursue their own ambitious life goals by him.
“I want people to know that I’m just an ordinary man who, like them, had a dream of playing in the NFL. And to get to where I am now, I had to work extremely hard every single day,” Prescott told PEOPLE.
