The following afternoon, Lauren Rosen, the team’s reporter, revealed that Oubre Jr., 27, was forced to miss the game against Indiana on November 12 due to a cracked rib sustained in the collision. Rosen said he will be reevaluated in approximately a week.
According to TMZ, the driver that struck Oubre Jr. has not yet been recognized and fled the scene. Law enforcement is presently looking for any information.
On Saturday night, some of his team members, including president Daryl Morey, paid him a visit. Many of them, including Tyrese Maxey, who dedicated his 50-point career night to his injured teammate, and Tobias Harris, who termed it “a devastating hit” for the entire team, expressed support for their “brother” during Sunday’s game. “We are eager for him to return to us. And we’re battling for our brother in the interim while we play these games,” he continued.
