Authorities in Texas are looking for a suspect in the stabbing death of his wife, who was about to leave him.
According to police, 38-year-old Luis Pardo stabbed his estranged wife Hilda Gurrola, a mother of three, at their Balch Springs house before he left.
Gurrola’s sister Gricelda told FOX4 that her three-year-old son and seven-year-old nephew saw the alleged attack on November 21.
The sister stated, “She didn’t want to be with him anymore.” “She felt as though the love had faded, that his personality had drastically changed, and that she was simply tired of doing it.”
The week before she passed away, Gurrola and her three children had moved out, but Gricelda told WFAA that she had returned with a sister and other family members to pick up a few things.
When Pardo enticed Gurrola’s sister Maricela back inside the house, Maricela claimed her sister was attacked.
Maricela said to NBC5, “I just heard my sister scream four times, and I ran as fast as I could.”
Pardo’s truck was later discovered in El Paso, according to the authorities, FOX4 said.
A Balch Springs Police Department spokesperson tells PEOPLE, “He has not been arrested at this time.”
Gurrola was characterized as “the life of the party” on a GoFundMe campaign.
It says, “The fun, silly, crazy, strong, and loving one.” There is a void in our hearts that she leaves behind. Her son and daughters are left without their mother. We lost a piece of our sister puzzle when our parents left without one of their kids.
