Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Katy Perry evaluated yet another night of performances as American Idol carried on its quest to find the next big singing phenomenon.
With a little assistance from country music superstar Kane Brown, who mentored the Top 5 from Walt Disney World, the Top 5 each sang two songs from the Disney songbook tonight.
Then, the Top 3 and the finale were decided by America’s live vote among the five remaining artists: Abi Carter, Emmy Russell, Jack Blocker, Triston Harper, and Will Moseley.
Jenifer Lewis, who voiced Mama Odie in Disney’s 2009 picture The Princess and the Frog and will provide the voice for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, an upcoming attraction based on the movie, will also perform “Dig a Little Deeper” on tonight’s program. Terence Blanchard, an eight-time Grammy Award winner on the trumpet, played beside her.
Subsequently, the public cast live votes for the ABC finals of American Idol Season 7.

“You are so comfortable, you made us comfortable,” declared Lionel. You reached over to the microphone. When you’re just having fun, you win the audience over even more.

Miley Cyrus’s “The Climb” from Hannah Montana: The Movie is the Emmy Russell song.
“I think that song is so true for you,” Katy remarked. The entire experience has revolved around climbing and ignoring the critical voice in your head. At every stride, you’re getting stronger. You have a long way to go. I believe you’ve got it. Miracles might take a while to happen, but yours is on the way.

Cars 2’s “Nobody’s Fool” is the song.
“Hi, Fred Astaire,” Luke exclaimed. Fred doesn’t give a damn. You are a man with swagger. To watch you free with all that is just entertaining. We didn’t believe you to be that early in the competition, but after witnessing you do it, we wondered, Who is this guy? Fantastic work

“Let me tell you a story, and this will clear up a lot,” replied Lionel. Every time Kenny Rogers’ voice broke when I was producing him, I would tell him to try again. “What are you doing?” asked Kenny. The cracking throughout the county is credible. Have faith in the cracking.

“It’s unbelievable that when we first met, you were singing ‘What Was I Meant For,'” stated Katy. You’re taking us to new heights. You’ll become like Billie Eilish or Hayley from Paramore if you get rid of that last level.”

“That was a trip,” Katy remarked. The most effective kind of attack is surprise. You never ceased to amaze us all. Nobody, I believe, is taking a snack break or using the restroom during your performance. You impart lifeforce vitality to that. It’s you, Jack.

Luke praised the song selection. Great energy. I hope that people will recognize the magnitude of your voice. You are capable of operating a real machine.”
The results of America’s voting were then declared by host Ryan Seacrest. Will Moseley, Abi Carter, and Jack Blocker made it to the end.
Emmy Russell and Triston Harper were heading home.
