In spite of her ongoing legal dispute with Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively is continuing to prioritize her family.
According to a person close to Lively, “Blake is surprisingly calm and just tries to focus on family life,”
“She communicates with her team all the time. The insider said that although she views the entire litigation drama as a necessary bump, she is not allowing it to detract from her primary priority, which is her kids.
In December, Lively, 37, accused 41-year-old Baldoni of sexual harassment for his alleged misbehavior on the set of their romance movie It Ends with Us.
She said that Baldoni, who directed, produced, and starred in the movie, created a “hostile work environment” on set by acting in “disturbing” and “unprofessional” ways. Additionally, Lively said that Baldoni launched a campaign of public smears in retaliation to “destroy” her name.
According to the document, she is requesting undisclosed damages for “intentional infliction of emotional distress” and “interference” in her enterprises, including Blake Brown Haircare.
Later, Baldoni sued Lively and her 48-year-old husband Ryan Reynolds for $400 million, claiming extortion and defamation. Due to an article on Lively’s case, Baldoni’s lawyers also filed a lawsuit against The New York Times.
Lively’s potential request for a gag order was discussed at a pre-trial session attended by lawyers from both parties on Monday, February 3.
Baldoni is “devastated” both financially and emotionally by the legal struggle, according to his lawyer Bryan Freedman, who also represents It Ends With Us producers Steve Sarowitz and Jamey Heath, their production business Wayfarer Studios, and publicists Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel.
Freedman continued, “Not to sound like a 4-year-old fighting a 4-year-old with ‘they started it,’ but in these kinds of cases, once someone says something it becomes fact: There’s no way to fight against it.”
Lewis Liman, a judge in New York, later ordered both parties to abstain from public remarks that might influence the jury.
Following the release of video footage from the It Ends With Us set to the media and the creation of a website called thelawsuitinfo.com that included links to Baldoni’s legal filings, the judge issued the order.
The judge’s decision was “pleased” by Lively’s lawyers, Michael Gottlieb and Esra Hudson.
On March 9, 2026, a trial for each of their charges is set to start.
