At the 2025 Grammy Awards, who won an award?
Some of the biggest names in music are attending the ceremony in the hopes of adding a gramophone statue to their trophy collections. Trevor Noah presented the annual awards presentation, which took place on Sunday night at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
With eleven nominations, Beyoncé led this year’s field, followed by seven each from Charli xcx, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Post Malone, six each from Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Taylor Swift, and five each from Jack Antonoff and Shaboozey.
When the list was revealed in November, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. commented in a news release, “It was an incredible year in music and these nominations reflect the work of a voting body that is more representative of the music community than ever before.”
Mason went on, “The Grammy became the most sought-after award in music because it comes from one’s peers, and I’m really appreciative of the 13,000 voting members of the Academy who take the time to listen to all the incredible music, vote, and reward their peers. Best wishes to each and every nominee.
Charli, Eilish, Roan, Carpenter, Benson Boone, Doechii, RAYE, Shakira, and Teddy Swims were among the artists that performed at this year’s event.
Brad Paisley, Brittany Howard, Chris Martin, Jacob Collier, John Legend, Sheryl Crow, and St. Vincent also performed as a tribute to Los Angeles amidst the current fires.
Cynthia Erivo, Herbie Hancock, Janelle Monáe, Lainey Wilson, and Stevie Wonder sang an homage to the late Quincy Jones.
Swift, Will Smith, Cardi B, SZA, Anthony Kiedis and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gloria Estefan, Olivia Rodrigo, Queen Latifah, and Victoria Monét were among the celebrities who took the stage to give their presentations.
The Grammys were streamed live and on-demand on Paramount+ or broadcast live on CBS from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
