Wild Cards Returns for Season 3 on CBC

Detective Cole Ellis and scammer Max Mitchell have a lot more crime-solving to do! The third season of the police procedural drama series “Wild Cards” has been renewed by CBC, as confirmed by The Cinemaholic. In August of this year, filming is scheduled to start in Vancouver. James Genn will once again direct, and Michael Konyves will serve as showrunner. The renewal is an early gift to the fans, as the second season of the show is now airing.

Two disclosures occur at the end of Season 1: Max’s double-crossing after stealing the Imperial Egg she was using to help Cole recuperate, and the exposure of Olivier, her estranged husband, and his capture. Additionally, Max has proof of who killed Cole’s brothers, as revealed in Episode 10. As a result of Max betraying Cole’s trust, the conclusion places our two main characters at odds. If they want to collaborate in solving crimes, they must at least make a concerted effort to regain each other’s trust.

The cases at hand, which range from a street racing ring to a paranoid biomedical engineer to the death of a tennis star, are intricate and will demand a lot of effort from the two. But no matter how severe, their personal problems shouldn’t stand in the way. As they look for criminals, will they be able to figure themselves out? The answers are in Season 2. As they attempt to deal with their problems while realizing how much they depend on one another both emotionally and physically, Max and Cole’s endearing chemistry—which is highlighted by their irresistible mutual attraction—reaches a new level in Season 2. Nevertheless, Max is collaborating with her father, George, to strike a larger jackpot covertly, while Cole is searching for his brother’s killer. The stakes are always high!

Giacomo Gianniotti as Cole Ellis, Vanessa Morgan as Max Mitchell, Jason Priestley as George Graham, Terry Chen as Chief Li, and Karin Konoval as Commissioner Russo are the actors most likely to return for Season 3, given that Season 2 has not yet concluded. Martin Sheen’s comeback as Detective Joseph Edwards is still up in the air.

Recent high-profile films that were filmed in Vancouver include Deadpool & Wolverine, Resident Alien, and Shōgun.
