Celebrating 31 Years: Winick and Ling’s Anniversary

The Real World alumni Judd Winick and Pam Ling can still recall their first sighting of one another after thirty years of marriage.

Judd, 55, posted video of his first meeting with his wife, Pam, 56, on the set of the MTV reality show to commemorate their 31st wedding anniversary.”I turned 24 on that day. Judd’s Instagram caption opened, “And we began filming THE REAL WORLD SAN FRANCISCO exactly 31 years ago today.”

When the show debuted in the summer of 1994, the cast members first entered their shared house in this blurry historical video clip.

Following the footage of three individuals entering with their bags packed, the words “February 12, 1994” appeared on the screen.

“My life would undergo numerous permanent changes. However, meeting Pam Ling is by far the most significant thing,” Judd’s caption went on. She is my partner. My hero. And the best, smartest, bravest, and most attractive person I know.

Judd was seen investigating his new home when he soon met Pam, who had just moved into the residence. The two would spend their lives together, despite the fact that their first encounter didn’t seem very noteworthy.

According to Judd, the couple received the video of their meeting as a wedding present from Real World producers Jonathan Murray and the late Mary-Ellis Bunim.

Pam and I first met at this precise moment. We began recording within the first several hours of our first day. I LOVE YOU, PAM!” He wrote, “THE REAL WORLD!

Judd has been a cartoonist since 2001, and Pam is a medical professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she studies social marketing, media, and tobacco. Together, they have also welcomed two children.

Judd also thought about how The Real World San Francisco made it possible for them to meet on their 30th wedding anniversary.

“We have a home together. Two kids. And a never-ending adventure—which began with what was meant to be a cool and silly thing. He captioned his Instagram carousel, “Going on television.”

“I’m so grateful to have her in my life,” he wrote as he concluded the heartfelt homage. She is the best person I know; she is humorous, goofy, and encouraging.
