High Potential Episode 13 Recap

Selena Soto opens “Let’s Play” by reminding her coworkers about the forthcoming LAPD gala, a high-profile event she eagerly anticipates in order to showcase her outstanding detectives and unmatched consultant to the department as a whole. In the meantime, an anonymous email with a picture of Spencer Wallace strapped to a chair in a windowless room is sent to the station. He has been kidnapped by an unidentified criminal, who urges the police officers to play a game to save the victim, according to Lev “Oz” Osman and Daphne Forrester’s preliminary inquiry. As usual, Morgan accepts the task and works with Karadec to track down the criminal mastermind.

Morgan locates Wallace—the latter’s storage unit—by playing a series of kid-friendly activities that the kidnapper has set up. He explains the significance of the location where he had been restrained when the officers rescue him: the same storage container where his business colleague died. Oz is reminded that Wallace is a member of his grief support group, which implies that anyone in the group could be the kidnapper because everyone knows about the storage container and its importance. After speaking with the organizer and community members, Oz and Daphne come to the conclusion that David is the person they are searching for. David joined the group to cope with the loss of his sister, with whom he used to play games for kids.

Oz comes to the conclusion that David is using his interactions with the police to make up for his sister’s passing. Additionally, he adds that the criminal targets the grief support group members since they all did not show up for a trivia game night that the suspect planned. At that point, Sierra Shuman, another person from the same community, is kidnapped by David. Similar to the previous instance, Morgan’s remarkable use of her skills results in the abduction leaving behind multiple clues that the police may use to determine how to save her. The officers go to the gala after saving Sierra from the criminal and saving her life.

Daphne becomes concerned about Oz after he fails to appear at the event. When she gets to his house, she discovers his car abandoned with a clue in it. The cop’s coworkers quickly comprehend why he has been singled out because he is also a member of the grief support group. Morgan finds her coworker’s location using the clues once more, and she and the rest of the group arrive there. Karadec saves the police from drowning by plunging into the property’s pool. The authorities can discover more about their suspect because the house where the kidnapper conceals Oz was the boyhood home of David and his late sister.

High Potential Season 1 Ending: What Happened to Roman Sinquerra? What Does Gio Know About Him?

When Gio Conforth tells Morgan about the missing man’s connection to a lady named Lyla Flynn, the mystery surrounding Roman Sinquerra begins to take shape. Karadec finds that the name is sufficient to obtain information on this enigmatic woman, despite his own lack of knowledge about her. To find out more about the person, he asks his old partner, Ronnie Oliver, for help. However, the FBI agent informs the detective that Flynn was a bureau official. The relationship between an agent and an informant was the reason for her murder, which occurred around the time Roman vanished from Morgan’s life.

Gio also informs Karadec that Roman is still alive, despite the fact that it is unknown where he is right now. A few pieces of information can be put together using these disclosures to illustrate what actually transpired with Morgan’s ex-partner. It’s possible that Flynn and Roman collaborated on a well-known case involving dangerous criminals. The reason the FBI agent was killed is because they must have even made important investigative advances. The fact that the pair’s target was strong enough to murder a federal official highlights how risky Roman’s job was ten and a half years ago.

While Roman was out buying diapers for Ava, he may have heard about Flynn’s murder. He must have been persuaded to leave Morgan and their daughter’s lives after realizing he was their enemy’s next target. A group of vicious thugs showing up at his house to harm him and his loved ones was probably the last thing he wanted. In order to prevent his opponents from interfering, he severed all of his ties with Morgan after he vanished. The longer his ex-partner is aware of his present location, the more he may believe that he is safe. Even the FBI had the opportunity to step in and protect Roman after Flynn was murdered.

Given that Roman is a valuable informant who could play a big role in the case should it ever go to trial, he is currently eligible for witness protection. Gio’s knowledge of Roman’s existence is likely due to the fact that he assisted Roman in becoming missing. He may have taken the time to find out more about the missing person’s present whereabouts in order to get Morgan to give him more information about them. It’s possible that Gio even contacted Roman to ask for his consent before telling Morgan this specific fact. Gio wants to quit speaking with the LAPD consultant since he has nothing more to say regarding the missing individual, especially because Roman’s adversaries might turn against him.

Who Abducts Wallace, Sierra, and Oz? Is He Really David?

When Oz gets his hands on a picture of their suspect, Daphne’s inquiry into David takes a different route. When the latter police officer finds out that the David they are searching for has been in a rehabilitation facility for months, their presumptions are proven incorrect. To put it another way, an unidentified kidnapper has been committing several crimes using David’s identity and life narrative. After seeming to bump into Morgan as a fellow consumer, this person bravely places a deck of image cards in one of her shopping bags. His invitation to push the consultant to play against him more is what adds intrigue to his identity.

All three of the abductor’s prior victims or targets are people who are grieving for personal losses. He is either continuing the same pattern or taking on the mastermind who beat him three times when he goes for Morgan next. The offender must be aware of Roman and how much she misses him if the first scenario is true. Although he is still alive, the consultant has come to terms with the fact that he might die, as seen by her surprise when Karadec tells her that he hasn’t died. Even if Morgan is unable to immediately identify the abductor, he must be someone close to their family if he is aware of Roman.

If Morgan has always been the abducor’s aim, his prior misdeeds may have served as a means of introducing himself or of enlisting her in his plot. However, it is impossible to rule out the second possibility that the criminal will challenge an exceptional opponent. Even though the anonymous character in “High Potential” only has a two-episode arc and has no personal relationship to the consultant or her family, the mystery surrounding his identity can serve as a cliffhanger that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats as the first season comes to a close.

Will Morgan End Up Together With Tom or Karadec?

The return of Tom following his complicated split with Morgan is one of the surprises in the first season finale of the criminal drama series. When Karadec’s feelings for her become apparent, she asks him to go on a date to the police department-sponsored gala. When she arrives at the event, he becomes enthralled with her and makes no effort to conceal his surprise. Sadly, though, it’s possible that neither of them will be with Morgan in the near future. Morgan’s efforts to get Tom to attend the event do not imply that she still harbors affection for him.

Morgan might want everyone who worked there, including the dedicated janitor, to appreciate the luxury as the department commemorates a milestone. Since she completed Tom’s work before him, she is aware of the difficulties that come with the position, which aren’t even well compensated. She may use the invitation as a means of thanking Tom on behalf of the department as a whole. She must have wondered why the top brass should enjoy themselves so much at the end of the day. Tom and Morgan’s love cannot endure the distance between San Diego and Los Angeles, particularly because Morgan has three children to support.

We can be certain that the detective won’t get into a relationship with Karadec. He may still be focused on finding Roman for Morgan now that he is aware of his presence. He might want to wait and see if the ex-couple would reconcile. Only if Morgan and Roman don’t end up together following their reunion will the cop show his feelings for his consultant.
