Rihanna’s Support for A$AP Rocky: A Rare Public Moment

A$AP In court, Rocky’s family is demonstrating their support.

To support the 36-year-old rapper as his gun trial draws to a close, Rihanna and her and Rocky’s kids, RZA, 2½, and Riot, 18 months, made a rare court appearance at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday, February 13.

The 36-year-old Rihanna entered during the opening remarks made by the prosecution. Wearing a gray, high-collared raincoat, she accompanied an older mother and the two kids. Riot and RZA were well-behaved and made very little noise during the court hearings.

With one of their babies on each hand, Rihanna and Rocky strolled out into the corridor during the break. While Rocky proceeded toward the elevators with one son, Rihanna vanished into the hallway with the other.

Rocky, Rihanna, and their sons clustered around toward the end of the break. Rocky gave the “Umbrella” singer the baby he had been holding back.

After saying “wish Daddy good luck” to her sons, Rocky kissed Rihanna and the infants. Then she went out the back door. Following the intermission, Rihanna reappeared in the courtroom without Riot and RZA.

When Rihanna appeared in court on January 29, she had already backed Rocky during the trial. Their children are joining them for the first time.

Rocky is charged for shooting his ex-friend A$AP Relli in November 2021 using a semi-automatic weapon. Prosecutors claim that Rocky shot at Relli twice during a “heated discussion” that occurred at the time of the event.

For the incident, Rocky was taken into custody at LAX in April 2022, although he was soon freed on bond. In August 2022, Relli then sued Rocky in civil court. He mentioned assault, battery, and emotional anguish, according to records PEOPLE was able to access. Rocky refuted the accusations.

The judge decided that there was sufficient evidence to let the rapper to stand trial after rejecting a plea agreement in January 2024 for one of two felony charges of assault with a semiautomatic pistol.

On January 24, the trial’s opening remarks got underway. Rocky might spend up to 24 years behind bars if convicted.
