Disney World has welcomed the MVP of the 2025 Super Bowl!
Just one day after Sunday’s championship game, on Monday, February 10, Jalen Hurts was at Disney World to observe the decades-old custom of winners celebrating their triumph.
The 26-year-old quarterback and Mickey waved to spectators lined the streets of the Happiest Place on Earth during the joyous procession. “M-V-P,” the audience yelled as the player passed in one video clip uploaded on X.
Videos from SportsCenter and the park itself later showed Hurts riding the Tron Lightcycle Power Run with his fiancée, Bryonna “Bry” Burrows.
The Eagles led the Kansas City Chiefs by a significant margin on Sunday, and the game ended without a score at the half. The team ultimately prevailed 40–22, preventing the Chiefs from achieving a record “three-peat,” or three straight Super Bowl victories after their 2023 and 2024 triumphs.
On the Fox coverage of the championship game after the game, Hurts was seen having a nice moment with Burrows. She was spotted approaching Hurts in the crowd and bending in to give him a passionate kiss at one point. After congratulating him on his victory, she was seen wrapping her arms around him.
The football player was beaming the entire time they were interacting. The two then broke off their embrace after a short while. After placing a tender hand on her future husband’s head, Burrows seemed to say, “I love you.”
The custom of visiting Disney, either Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, or Disneyland in Anaheim, California, after winning the Super Bowl was first started in 1987. The first person to yell, “I’m going to Disney World!” after the New York Giants’ victory that year was quarterback Phil Simms, who reportedly received $50,000 for doing so, according to ESPN.
Since then, the winning teams have congregated on one of the two American-based Disney parks for a celebration parade along Main Street, USA.
The Chiefs have traveled to Disneyland for the last two years, and their star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, has been in the parade. The star claimed in 2024 that it’s “something I’ll never get tired of,” despite having made the special trip three times, one after each of his Super Bowl victories.
